SportsFlex as the name suggests is treating, via the feet, for specific sport induced injuries. It is aimed not only at professional and amateur sportspeople, but is also suitable for the ever increasing number of people who “train” themselves in a gym / dance class / exercise group etc.
As training gets tougher, competition becomes fiercer and the social pressure for the “body beautiful” increases, people are pushing themselves physically and psychologically harder and harder. With this increase in determination to be the fittest, the fastest, the best, comes an increase in the associated injuries.
SportsFlex addresses these injuries specifically and as with all treatments, it also takes an overall view to understand the impact of an injury on other parts of the body and enables the SportsFlex practitioner to assess possible deeper causes.
If you are looking to extend your practice and add extra income, obtain your SportsFlex certificate and offer treatments at your local sports clubs.
Your two day training will include:
- Activating the body’s self healing response via the immune and lymphatic systems with micro (foot and lower leg) drainage massage
- Applying a series of Duopody SportsFlex charts that reflect “chains” of muscle groups
- Synergistic treating of macro and micro injury
- Multiple techniques to work at the site of the micro injury
- Pain testing methods – pre and post treatment
- How to stabilise injury induced highs and lows of kinetic energy
- Recording on SportsFlex Treatment Record and SportsFlex Footmap
The treatment sequence includes techniques from conventional reflexology, Duopody, CALM, TouchPoint and Myofascia Meridians.
Attendees will be issued with a SportsFlex Attendance Certificate (+CPD points)
If an attendee wishes to be on the SportsFlex Practitioners Register, they must submit homework (series of treatments) which attracts +CPD points plus a further SportsFlex Practitioner Certificate.
Course fee includes: Manual / Record Sheet and SportsFlex foot chart / DVD / Certificates.
Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits will be provided. A lunch of soup and bread, baked potato with cheese and tuna, and salad can be ordered from the Alchemy Centre each morning for £5 per meal. Or you may bring your own packed lunch.
£50 deposit is required to reserve your place. Balance to be paid by 17th June 2016. Please email me for more information, location map, recommended B&Bs and instructions how to pay your deposit. There are a limited number of places available so book now!
